Foothills Housing Coalition (FHC) was established in 2010 to serve as the umbrella organization for Fauquier Housing Corporation, Rapidan Better Housing, Stuart Street Homes, Countryside Townhomes, and the Oaks I & II.
FHC is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit committed to sustainable community development and ecological design. Our service areas include Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, Page, and Rappahannock Counties in Virginia.
Founded as Fauquier Housing Corporation, FHC has served Fauquier County and surrounding areas for 40 years. Since the first home it constructed in 1970, Fauquier Housing has continued to grow its programs and services to better meet the needs of low to moderate income residents.

Achievements
FHC is EarthCraft House™ and ENERGY STAR certified and has made the commitment to build 100% of future projects to these green building standards. As part of its commitment to ecological design FHC has offset its office carbon emissions by purchasing credits through Terrapass. In 2009 FHC was named one of the Top Ten Rehabilitation Specialists for Virginia.
